Week 14a

1. font: Serif- a small line attached to the end of a stroke or letter symbol
sans-serif-  does not have the small projecting features as serif does at the end of a stroke





2. Margin- the part of the page that is above, or the side of the printed paper












3. Guide (illustrator guides)- helps you to line control objects and paths 









4. Bleed- a printing term that goes beyond the edge of the sheet before trimming









5. CMYK- color model











6. Image resolution- detail the image holds 









7. Proof copy- a copy of a book made from trial impressions made from composed type









8. Art board- good quality cardboard used for illustration and painting 









9. Registration mark- a symbol that provides notice that the preceding word or symbol
